Regression test against RebeccaAIML to ensure Quality

Quality Assurance

When a bug is reported against RebeccaAIML on output, I generate a new test case and add it to the regression suite. This ensures that no newer release can break backwards AIML outputing compatibility.

Regression Tests

Foreword

The failure of "that (15)", multisentence that array (16), are very real and are highest on my priority. I will fix them both in the next release. The failure of "return name when set (40)" has a lower priority but is something I am looking into. The gender failures also are of a concern but since they are not widely used AIML tags I also have them at a lower priorty. Satisfying the gender requirements of AIML is very difficut and particular. The lack of javascript in my interpreter is of the lowest priority and will be added last.

False positives are "infinite loop (41)" and "system (19a)". I just terminate infinite loops and I cannot retrieve the output from a system call at this time. However, they will print a failure when in fact they have passed the test.
